Mike took a few photos for me- I got there right when everything was done. Mike was covered in concrete. They ran out after 5 truck fulls with about 4 inches left to pour in one of the deck piers. They will fill that in when the foundation floor is poured.
Pollock will be digging my well. They expect it to run about 870 feet deep. The price of steel has increased, so my cost has also increased- by a dollar a foot. Should have gone ahead and had it dug a few months ago- coulda' shoulda'.....
This was Memorial Day Weekend. Today I was on my front porch drinking coffee and heard Taps playing. I walked down the street to see where it was coming from. There was a memorial service going on in front of the veteran's memorial on the square. The trumpets sounded mournful.
Long weekend! Full of every sort of activity! Worked in my yard and on Big Hill, played music with Danny, a local guitarist/singer/songwriter, went with Tonya to look for rock for floors/walls/hearth. That's about as full as I ever get in one weekend.
Back to the grind manana. Time for siesta.
