Dog Days of Summer = BURN BAN :o

This is the fourth burn ban in effect since I bought the land 3 1/2 years ago. Needless to say, Texas has been dry. This week temperatures will be over 100 degrees every day. No chance of rain. I hope the guys have LOTS to drink out there.

Once the sun goes down it actually feels fine to me. Tracy and I went out on Friday night and got up on the roof- it is now ply boarded. We saw 12 meteors and about the same number of satellites. The Milky Way was so visable we thought at first it was a cloud formation. Binoculars confirmed otherwise.

Speaking of the roof, most of it and the outer wall has boarded in. It makes the house look a bit smaller and more manageable. Every time Mike's guys add substance the view from the road becomes more striking. You can even see where the sky deck will be- yikes, it's high!!

I am picking out sinks, appliances, cabinetry, etc. The fun stuff!!!

And I am praying for RAIN!!!
